What Trek Divers Includes with Your Specialty Course

Beyond the PADI course requirements, we prepare the essentials for your training day.

Each PADI Specialty Course has its own training requirements, dives or materials. Here is what Trek Divers includes when you take your specialty course with us in La Digue.

In general, this includes:

  • Diving equipment if needed.
  •  PADI Instructor support.
  • Towels.
  • Water, tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
  • Snacks when applicable.
  • Access to toilet, shower and power when the course uses Twin Spirit.
  • Taxes.

Dive insurance is not included, so please make sure you have suitable cover before starting your specialty course. For non diving specialties, such as Coral Reef Conservation, water sessions and diving equipment may not apply.

PADI eLearning and Specialty Materials

Some courses start with online theory or course materials before the practical part begins.

For some PADI Specialty Courses, you may need PADI eLearning before the in-water training. Other specialties use course materials, study guides or instructor-led learning instead.

When this applies, Trek Divers will explain what needs to be completed and when, so you know what to expect before starting. The idea is simple: understand the basics first, then use your course time to practise, ask questions and enjoy the specialty with your instructor.

Before Your PADI Specialty Is Confirmed

Most PADI Specialty Courses do not need a deposit.

You normally pay after the course, or at the end of your diving holiday if you are diving with us for several days. If your specialty needs PADI eLearning, Trek Divers will assign it after your booking is confirmed. Once eLearning has been assigned, its cost is non refundable. You can still use it later with Trek Divers or another PADI Dive Centre. If the course is cancelled before eLearning or course materials have been assigned in your name, nothing is due. For specialties with open water dives, the plan may change if conditions are not suitable.
