Choose between a morning or afternoon Discover Scuba Diving experience from La Digue. Each option is guided by a PADI Professional and planned around the schedule, instructor availability and the comfort of the group.

Morning Discover Scuba Diving

A regular morning dive trip from La Digue with two guided boat dives and the afternoon free to enjoy the island.

A half-day boat experience from La Digue for beginners trying scuba for the first time.

You join us on Twin Spirit, learn the basics before entering the water and choose 1 or 2 dives.

If you choose 1 dive, you stay on board after your dive. You can relax, enjoy the boat trip and return to La Digue when the boat heads back.

Best if: You want a calm first scuba experience and still keep the afternoon free to enjoy La Digue.

Schedule: meet at the dive centre at 8:45 am, boat at 9:00 am, return around 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm.

Afternoon Discover Scuba Diving

A shorter regular dive option from La Digue for certified divers who want one guided boat dive later in the day.

A later option with one supervised dive and a clear introduction to the basics.

It works well if you prefer a lighter plan, arrive on the island in the morning or want more free time earlier in the day.

Availability depends on the schedule, the day’s conditions and instructor availability.

Best if: You prefer a later plan, arrive on the island in the morning or want a lighter first scuba experience during your stay.

Schedule: from 2:00 pm to around 4:30 pm or 5:00 pm.

What to Expect on Your Discover Scuba Diving Experience

A simple, calm flow before your first time underwater.

1. Check in at the dive centre

We meet at our dive centre in La Passe, complete the forms and answer any last questions before the trip.

2. Walk to Twin Spirit

From the dive centre, it is a short walk to the boat. You step on board, meet the crew and get ready for the experience.

3. Get a clear introduction

Your instructor explains the basics in a simple way, so you know what to do before entering the water.

4.  Start from the boat

Discover Scuba Diving usually starts directly from the boat, with your instructor close and the experience kept calm.

5.  Enjoy your first dive

You take your first breaths underwater, with your instructor guiding you throughout.

6. Relax on board

If you choose 2 dives, you relax on Twin Spirit between dives. If you choose 1 dive, you stay on board and enjoy the boat trip back.

Booking and Cancellation Policy for PADI Discover Scuba Diving

  • For PADI Discover Scuba Diving, we do not ask for a deposit.
  • You pay after your experience, at the end of the trip.
  • If you cancel before the dive, nothing is due.
  • If we need to cancel because sea conditions are not suitable, nothing is due either.
  • We just ask you to let us know as soon as possible if your plans change, so we can adjust the boat schedule and instructor planning.
